A Day in NYC

Posted on June 14 2018

For us New Yorkers, summer time is the best time to be alive in our city. On a nice night you will see people flooding outdoor seated restaurants, rooftop bars, and local parks. Although most people head out east during the weekends for the beach view, New York City is just as magical! There are plenty of things to do, especially in New York’s Oasis, Central Park.

Here are our favorite “to-do’s” during the warmer months…

Picnic in Sheep Meadow. With Whole Foods right at 59th Street, Columbus Circle, you can load up on goodies to make your picnic experience that much more enjoyable. Or, feeling a luxurious picnic experience? We discovered Perfect Picnic NYC, that is a mobile catering company setting up picnics throughout Central Park. It may be a bit pricey but it is worth it! All you have to do is show up…

Row Boats under Bow Bridge. This iconic activity that many couples have romanticized, is so affordable and perfect for a photo op. Try and get here on the earlier side of the day because after 1pm the line can become massive!

Lunch at The Loeb Boathouse. Serving American cuisine, an endless list of drinks, and lakeside tables, this is the perfect lunch spot. After working up an appetite from rowing, you can walk next door to grab a bite here.

Trip to the Central Park Zoo. Who doesn’t love a day at the zoo? Whether you have kids or with a group of friends, the zoo is such a fun spot to spend your day! General admission tickets are fair offering adults at $12, children from the age 3-12 $7, and children 2 and under FREE.

How would you spend a summer day in NYC?
